This was so fun and easy. Here’s what you need:
-1/2 cup of hydrogen peroxide
-a few drops of dish washing soap
-food coloring
-a packet of dry yeast
-1/4 cup of warm water
Steps:
1. Pour the hydrogen peroxide, food coloring, and dish soap into an empty bottle.
2. Gently rotate the bottle in a circular motion to mix everything together.
3. In a separate cup mix the yeast to the water.
4. When you’re ready use the funnel to pour the water and yeast into your bottle.
How it works: the yeast works as a catalyst in the hydrogen peroxide and releases the hydrogen leaving water and oxygen. The soap then catches oxygen in its bubbles and causes it to foam.
